Statement of Intent
I create landscape-inspired paintings that live between memory and abstraction. Working on birch panel with acrylic in the manner of oils, I construct compositions from visualization and memory rather than photographs, shaping atmosphere, color, and perspective entirely in my mind. My work distills the sensation of place into fields of color that balance observation with abstraction.
